Sgt. James F. Carty was a true hero and deserving of every honor bestowed upon him. Our Post now consists of WW II, Korea, Vietnam, Bosnia, Kosovo, Desert Storm, Afghanistan and Iraqi veterans.
It is now more than 90 years later and we welcome all returning veterans to join our post. We still have our “Dugout” at the edge of town that we are presently rebuilding with the
help of our many benefactors.
The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) of the United States is a veterans organization with membership limited to veterans who served in specific wars or campaigns.
Our post would like to thank the many people who have helped us rebuild our post. We have created a building that will serve the veteran's and the entire community of Windham
